Arrange a Free Quote

A few details about the residence and your concern are all we need to begin. We'll follow up at your convenience.

Del Mar Structural arranges Free Quotes for homes in the City of Del Mar and in the nearby City of San Diego neighborhoods of Carmel Valley and Del Mar Heights; the form on this page is the simplest way to begin. We coordinate with licensed engineers as needed.

Whatever is convenient to share:

  • Address or neighborhood.
  • Your concern. Cracks, sloping floors, binding doors, spalling concrete, a leaning wall, water after rain, bluff or seawall conditions, or seismic questions.
  • History. When you first noticed it, and whether it has changed.
  • The home. Approximate age, raised floor or slab, any additions or prior repairs.
  • Documents. Geotechnical or engineering reports, prior permits, inspection reports, or disclosures (including Floodplain or Coastal Bluff Overlay notices). For a beachfront or bluff-edge home, a recent geotechnical report shapes the first conversation.
  • Timing. Escrow dates, renovation plans, or when you’ll be in residence.
  • Who to coordinate with. A property manager, caretaker, architect, or agent, if any.
  • How you prefer to be reached.

Photographs are welcome. An on-site visit is still needed for an assessment.

Del Mar, or the City of San Diego?

Many homes carry a “Del Mar” mailing address without being in the City of Del Mar. Homes in the village follow Del Mar’s Planning-first process, which may involve Design Review, a coastal development permit, or a Floodplain Development Permit. Homes in Carmel Valley and Del Mar Heights follow the City of San Diego’s Development Services procedures, and in Carmel Valley an HOA approval may also be part of the path (Carmel Valley foundation repair). Give us the address and we’ll confirm which applies before we discuss any repair.

On the day we come

Tell us the hours that suit the household, and whether a housekeeper, property manager, or neighbor will open the gate. Expect a level, a camera, and a flashlight, and little else. Photographs stay with the file for your quote and are not used for anything else unless you say so.

If you are not in residence

Tell us who looks after the house and how you would like to hear from us. Access is arranged through that person, and updates arrive as written notes with photographs. See second-home structural monitoring.

From your note to a written quote

Once your note arrives, we read it and contact you, or your representative, with any questions. A visit is then arranged for a time that suits the household; measurements and photographs are taken on site. Afterward you receive plain-language findings that separate what matters now from what can wait. If repair is warranted, a written Free Quote follows, with notes on engineering, geotechnical input, and the approval path we expect. Bluff and seawall work is built to engineered plans, and we do not forecast what a permit will say or when it will issue (bluff stabilization and seawall work).

Sending a request places you under no obligation, and it does not settle a method or a price.

Best way to reach you
